Battle of Moisturizing Soaps (Nivea, Dove & Jergens)

by 10:21 PM

My sister knows how I love soaps. That's why she sent me a lot all the way from UAE. Thanks to my sweet dear sister. :)

My skin is always dry. Always! That's why a moisturizing soap is a must have on my toiletries. Today, I'll share to you my review of the moisturizing soaps I currently have.

Before we start, let me share a little background on how I usually soap my skin. I'm actually using 4 kind of soaps 2 times a day. You heard it right! Wait, I'm not insane or some sort of addict huh. I just love doing it and I feel incomplete without them. The first soap I'm using is an anti bacterial soap like safeguard, followed by shower gel ( Olay ) then comes my whitening soap ( kojic, gluta or placenta soap ) and to finish everything I use my moisturizing soap or in-shower lotion. I always rinse every after soap. Hahaha that's long. I'm not surprised why my skin is so sensitive and dry but I don't care. Haha. I'm not saying you should do the same hah. It's my personal choice. ( Can you imagine how long my bathing routine everyday takes? Haha )

What?
Battle of Moisturizing Soaps ( Dove, Jergens & Nivea )

Where to buy?
Watsons ( not sure with Nivea though )

My review:

Dove used to be my holy grail moisturizing soap. I'm not sure why it's not working on my skin anymore. It tends to make my skin dryer this past few months. I also got some rashes around my tummy while using dove. I'm not sure if they've changed their formulation or what not. Or maybe my skin is more sensitive now? Yayks! :(

I've been seeing this Jergens soap in the supermarket and I always ignore it. That's why when I saw that this was included in my package, I smiled secretly like I have a plan. Haha. The soap smells super duper nice. You know the smell of fresh na malinis? Haha basta ganon. Ang bango nya! Like I don't wanna rinse it anymore. Good thing the smell lasts even after bath. My skin feels so fresh and moisturized every after use. Kudos!

Oh yeah! This is my newest favorite in-shower cream. The best in moisturizing of them all. It's like a milk literally. I feel like I'm bathing with milk using Nivea Creme Coconut. For me it smells pretty good. Like coconut with milk haha. My partner doesn't like the smell though. But I love it. My skin feels so pampered and moisturized every time I'm using this cream. I don't think I need to use lotion after bath but I still use body creams haha. Just to make sure because I don't trust my skin's dryness Lol. Its active ingredients are Virgin coconut oil and Jojoba oil. Deng! How can dryness fight those two oils? Hahaha. Bye bye dry skin! Shoooh!

So there! I hope this review can help you decide which soap you're going to buy if you're having a dry skin day. Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! :)

iWhite Korea Products Review

by 8:30 PM

Annyeong! I am getting fascinated with Korean skincare and cosmetics lately. When I was roaming around Watsons at SM Manila few months back, this iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita caught my attention because it is less expensive. Today, I went to Watsons again and to my surprised, they actually have various of products so I've decided to buy some.

What?

• iWhite Korea Aqua Moisturizer Whitening Vita ( P179 )

• iWhite Korea 2 Minute Whitening Miracle ( P24.50 )

• iWhite Korea BB.Holic everyday wear BB Cream ( P24.50 )

Where to buy?
Watsons

My review:

Mild, mild, mild! Yes! The products are mild! Haha. I soooo love them specially the moisturizer and the 2 minute Miracle Cream because they work amazingly on my skin. The moisturizer is like a water on your skin as it gives a decent amount of moisture without that sticky icky feeling. It didn't give me breakouts. I use it everyday before putting on primer. The smell is so refreshing and it has a cooling sensation.

I just tried their 2 minute Miracle cream today and I must say that this is the expoliator for sensitive skin. I have a highly sensitive skin which is why I always get redness right after every scrub. I never thought that this 2 minute miracle will solve my problem in exfoliating my face. It gives a natural glow and soft baby like skin after use.

I don't like BB creams. You know that! Haha ( ironically ) So when I saw today that they have a new product called iWhite Korea BB.Holic Everyday wear BB Cream, I immediately bought one to try. It is so affordable and the packaging is so cute. ( anyway all of their products are packed very nicely ). When I got home, I immediately swatched the product and applied it on my face. I like the smell it's super bango! As in! The coverage is light to medium. But the glow and moisture it gives will make it your and my favorite everyday bb cream.

What I don't like:

I think they should produce bigger containers for all of their products like their moisturizer in a tube so people can enjoy their products in the long run. It's really a hassle to buy another sachet every other day haha. Plus getting a bigger container will save us some bucks! Haha.

These products are really effective yet budget friendly. I highly recommend iWhite Korea to anyone who likes to try korean skin care but can't afford to purchase high end brands. Or even if you have budget. These babies are worth trying hehe.

Hope this review helps. Feel free to ask a question on the comment box below and I'll get back to you.

Have a great day! :)

My experience as a Beta tester:

The first thing I've noticed about their site is that, it is very simple and clean and I love it! Dang! It's perfect for minimalists like me. Haha. I was full of excitement during that time because they offer a huge variety of Korean Skincare and K-Beauty products and I don't know where to start haha. I honestly can't decide if I'll go to skincare tab or make up section. Curious where I went first? Oh good! I saw the Nature Republic Aloe Gel and with no hesitations, I added it to my cart. Most importantly, their prizes are way cheaper than any other store and they'll ship your orders directly from Korea. They offer FREE shipping for orders more than P1,500 pesos. Listed below are my observations:

• Affordable prizes ( \^.^/ )
• Prizes are converted to PHP
• Products have their descriptions and complete details ( all you need to know about the product )
• Clean website
• Easy to navigate
• 101% Authentic products
• Wide Variety of K-Product
• Quick Delivery
• Placing an order has never been a challenge as the information you need to fill up is not as long as EDSA lol.
• There's an overview and total of what's in your cart in every page of the website ( very convenient )
See screenshot below:

Areas of improvements:

• When you click on the second or third page and you click back again, you'll be directed on the main page not in the previous page.
• When I hit place order it loads like for couple of minutes and I was worried if my order has been placed. Good thing I received the confirmation email.

Products I've purchased:

• Nature Republic Aloe gel
• Missha Perfect Cover BB cream #21
• Missha Perfect Cover BB cream #23
• Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral powder
• Sebum Out Finish powder
• 2 packs of Pig Nose 3 step black head remover

By the way, I used my Mobile Phone to shop and beta test the site. Why? Because most of us are using our Smartphone to shop online and I want to test if they're mobile friendly and dude! I'm telling you, aha! they are! :D

My order arrived after 8 days and I never thought it would be that fast. My orders were delivered in a cute pink parcel completely wrapped with plastic bubbles from inside out. Plus I got a free Red Ginseng Mask oh lala! I super love Althea Korea!

I wish that this review helps. I know you're excited too. What's the first product you're going to order from Althea Korea? Please let me know by commenting below.

Thank you! :)
