Why am I Blogging?

by 6:32 PM

Some people think that blogging is about wearing nice clothes, posting ootds, having a wonderful vacation, receiving new stuff from different brands, attending big events and so on. I even received a message from my childhood friend saying that I am now unreachable because I get to work with celebrities, I have the latest phone, I have a nice laptop, a great camera, and awesome clothes.

It makes me sad because some of the people only see the flamboyant side of blogging and I want to be honest that there’s really a lot of perks being a blogger. However, I want everyone to understand that we work hard for whatever we’re getting. It’s the fruit of our labor and the juice of our passion. We don’t get nice clothes, a new phone, an awesome camera, and a nice vacation with just a snap. How I wish it is that easy but no, it takes hundreds of sleepless nights, countless cups of coffee, layers of calluses on our fingers while we’re typing and writing just to post one great article while most of you guys are peacefully sleeping.

I just want to make things clear, I am not into material things and my #VanityFriends (loyal readers) know that. I see everything equally regardless of the price. Wearing branded clothes or local ones  they both make me look good and decent. Drinking Starbucks or Kopiko  They both make me awake. Taking pictures using dslr or smartphone  tells the same story. Writing on a Macbook or a netbook  expresses the same passion. I am a true believer that happiness does not come from the fancy things in this world. It’s a matter of appreciation of the things you already have and never ever compare yourself to others because you were born to standout.

At the end of the day, blogging is about expressing myself and the manifestation of my passion. An organization asked me; As a blogger, what can you contribute for the betterment of this country? It made me think deep and asked myself the same question. It may sound so selfish but I’m honestly writing because it makes me happy and I found writing therapeutic. Little did I know, while I’m doing the things that I love the most (writing/blogging), I am touching some people’s life. I’ve asked people on my social media channel to hear how my writing help them and their answers put me in tears:

I am really not aware that I’m influencing some people and I serve as an inspiration to them. I am not aware that because of my skincare reviews which some people say it’s a gay thing, helped me built few people’s confidence because they were a victim of bullying because of their looks. I am not aware that because I’ve posted my smoke-free life journey, I was able to inspire few people to quit smoking too. I am not aware that because I mirror my personality through my writing, I was able to make few people who are going through problems in life laugh and smile. I am not aware that because of my recent project with GMA Bloggers’ Style Camp, I was able to spread good vibes online and inspire other people to stop cyber bullying and choose heart over hate.

That one question from Lagawan.org and one question to my readers, made me realized the reason why I am blogging that through my writing, I can spread love and happiness to many people which they can also spread allover the country because I believe that love is contagious and it’s the most powerful tool for a happy personality, community and nation. I may not be able to make the entire Philippines better (even our president is facing the same challenge) but I will continue to write to touch more people’s life.

The bottom line of this article is to make people realize that being happy is not about having those fancy things. The key to happiness is first, find what makes you happy and use this passion to touch as many people as you can for the betterment of this country.

Furthermore, #HeartOverHate has been recently nominated for Social Media Movement of the Year by BlogEx Manila. The BlogEx Awards provide a unique opportunity for individual and companies from their sector to be recognized for their social media achievements through blogging. The awards are more than an event, but a digital outreach platform that connects blogs with brands.

I'm with Ate Tin and Trina from GMA Social Media Team

4 Reasons to Visit The National Museum of the Philippines

by 8:49 PM
Undeniably, our everyday life is being dominated by foreign influences. We might not observe it, but yes, it's true I am guilty and I admit that. I love playing Pokemon Go, watching Harry Potter again and again, reading my favorite foreign blogs, watching my favorite vloggers and so on. I'm sure you also have your own routine or favorites. That's fine and there's nothing wrong about it. It gives us joy, entertainment and satisfaction which is great because it relieves stress and deliver good thoughts to our brains.

But let's not forget that it's also good to allot even just a a piece of your precious time to know more about Philippines and appreciate local products, services, entertainment and so on. Wait, I am not saying that I'm the most patriotic person and I don't want you to feel that way. I have a lot of short comings for our country but I'm making sure that I'm taking time (during my free) to know more about our born place. There are many things that we can do to show our support and love for our country. You can listen to OPM Songs, buy local products, visit local tourist spots, watch Indie films or go to the National Museum of the Philippines.

The National Museum of the Philippines is the museum of the Filipino people. It houses the most important ethnographic, anthropological, archaeological, and visual artistry of our nation from the prehistoric period to the modern times. I've recently visited our National Museum and here are the reasons why you should also take time to visit.

1. It's FREE
You heard it right! Admission is free! A policy of free general admission has been established, effective July 1, 2016, by the Board of Trustees of the National Museum. This aims to spike significant viewership specially for younger Filipinos out there. The National Museum itself is making its way to get closer to you and it's your turn to make a move now!

2. Perfect for Photography and Selfies
Don't go to the museum if you just want a great location to take photos okey? Make sure to make your photos and selfies meaningful and post it proudly to influence other people to visit the Museum too. Please see to it that behind every photos you're taking is a new learning about our history. By the way, touching all the artworks in the museum is strictly prohibited. There's a certain distance if you wanna take photos and please don't try to mimic and make fun of the poses and images inside the museum. There's this one group who's making fun at one artwork and they were stopped by the museum's personnel. I found it so disrespectful, there's always time for jokes but not in the museum please.

3. Resurrect your Filipino blood

This is my main purpose why I decided to visit the museum instead of going to a movie date on our rest day. I wanna strengthen my patriotism because I'm guilty of supporting too much foreign stuff. I'm also curious to see the artworks and stories of our national artists, the fragments of their history, and the fruit of their success. I was literally amazed by the extremely beautiful artworks and my eyes were so busy can't decide which to look first. I've learned so much by just looking at the paintings like the evolution of medicine in the Philippines, the story behind Spolarium, the coronation of the Virgin Retablo during the 18th century, the Christmas card series and many more. Your Filipino blood will proudly flow because the pieces are astonishing.

4. Great Exercise
The museum itself is pretty huge and it's surely a great opportunity to walk not only you're exercising your heart and body, it also exercise our minds because of the new learnings and discoveries we are feeding to our memories.

Here are some photos that we took:

I forgot to say that before your go straight to the artworks, you need to sign the log book located at the lobby and deposit your belongings at the baggage counter. Firearms, food, bottled water, and ballpens are not allowed inside galleries and so smoking.

So there! Those are the reasons why you should visit the National Museum of the Philippines based on my personal opinion. I'm sure there are a lot of deeper reasons why you should visit but as I've said, it's my opinion and thoughts about it. 😊 I stepped out of the Museum full of joy and feeling renewed and relaxed. The National Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Lily's Touch Miracle Cream Review

by 9:03 PM
In my Relumins Professional Acne Clear Trio review, I've mentioned there that I'm using a whitening cream with sunscreen to help lighten my dark spots. I seriously braved myself to use the product along with the said Acne Set mainly because the cream has a sunscreen to protect my face while it's in the healing process.

What?
Lily's Touch Miracle Cream Review

Lily's Touch Miracle Cream is rich with whitening and anti-aging ingredients, this hypoallergenic cream will make your skin lighter, smoother, and brighter in seven days.

Active ingredients:
Kojic acid, Zinc oxide, Titanium dioxide, Alpha Tocopherol ( Vit.E), Sunflower oil, Emu oil, Whitening plant extracts.

Where to buy?
Facebook: Cheska's Store
Instagram: @cheskasstore

How much?
P450.00

I was seeing this miracle cream on my social media feeds being endorsed by some celebrities and I seriously ignored it a thousand times because I thought it was just over promoted. As I've said, I decided to use it as a sunscreen without expecting it to help me get rid of dark spots.

I've been using Lily's Touch Miracle Cream for more than a month now and I must say that I'm enjoying using the product because it really helps in fading my dark spots plus a few dots on my face will go a long way. You don't actually need to put on too much product to see its effect. What I'm doing is I'm putting four dots on my face (forehead, chin, and cheeks) and spread it evenly.

It has a sweet melon smell that will surely bring back the child within you because it literally smells like a melon candy. I'm using the product once a day (After my morning bath) and I think the 50ml tub will last for more than two months because it's really matipid. After reading the ingredients for the second time, I've found out that it contains kojic acid (that's why it lightens) but, but, but! The product is hypoallergenic so you don't have to worry about irritation. I have a very sensitive skin and I'm a living proof that it don't irritate skin.

The product also contains titanium dioxide (typically used as sunscreen) that's why it provides white cast specially on flash photography. I don't have much to say about it because my before and after picture on my Relumins Professional Acne Clear Trio review is very evident how effective the product is. As courtesy to other readers, here's the said photo:
To summarize everything, here are the things that I like and I don't like about Lily's Touch Miracle Cream.

What I like:
• Hypoallergenic
• Effective in whitening
• Has sunscreen
• A little goes a long way
• Sweet Melon scent
• 50ml tub (can last for a month or two)
• Very detailed packaging  (it contains all you need to know about the product.)
• Can be applied under makeup

What I don't like:
• White cast (on flash photography)
• A little heavy upon application (but it becomes very light after few minutes.)
• Flaky (you need to blend the product very well.)
• The container is unhygienic because you need to deep your fingers inside the tub to get the product. (Hopefully they can provide a small spatula)

All in all, I must say that the product is really effective and true to its claims. I recommend Lily's Touch Miracle Cream if you are looking for a hypoallergenic whitening cream.

Note: Not because the product is effective for me, it will deliver the same result to you. We have different skin types so take my review as a guide not a pattern thank you. 😊

What's The Best Glutathione in The Philippines 2023

by 9:46 PM
I keep on receiving a lot of questions about what is the best glutathione available in the Philippines? Since I cannot accommodate all of your questions, (as much as I would love to) and to be honest, there are more than a hundred on my page's inbox. I wanna apologize for those unanswered messages. I'm trying my best to get in touch with you guys but my work time is eating even my personal life. I've decided to create this blog post to answer the question: what's the best glutathione for me? (I can perhaps send this link as a reply if I still receive the same question.) Brilliant isn't it? 😄

Update: It's 2023 already, it has been 7 years since I posted this blog and for the last seven years, I have tried different glutathione capsules again so here is an updated list of my best glutathione capsules that can really whiten the skin.

What's the best glutathione in the Philippines?

Guys, I wanna make things clear, this article was based on my experience and my personal opinion about the brands that I'm going to feature here. I'm not some sort of glutathione expert or a licensed pharmacist like Janine Togonon (Ms. Universe 1st Runner Up 2013) hahaha.

To answer your question, for me, the best glutathione brands in the Philippines are the following:

Currently, my number one, and the best of them all is:

Nuwhite S-Acetyl Glutathione

Nuwhite is the glutathione capsule that I took the longest, if I am not mistaken, I took this product for almost 2 years straight. Just this year, I started taking Nuwhite again and planning to use it long term again because it gives me amazing results. It is very effective in whitening my skin which one of the side effects of taking glutathione capsules. It also improves my mood, quality of sleep, and blooming aura. The best part? I did not experience any negative side effects using Nuwhite. Even my doctor approved this product for me to take.

Nuwhite has the most powerful form of Glutathione available in the market today. You read it right! It contains S-Acetyl Glutathione which is a highly bio-available glutathione that can be quickly and completely absorbed by our cells. Hence, the result or its effect is faster than any other form of glutathione. Nuwhite is the first and only brand here in the Philippines that uses S-Acetyl Glutathione. It is well-researched and well-studied by health experts to deliver great results for our skin, and most importantly for our health.

I created multiple videos about Nuwhite on my YouTube channel and Tiktok account because I really wanna share with you my amazing experience taking this product. I hope more and more people can try it and see its wonderful effects.

Its suggested retail price is P1,880 which is for me is very reasonable. Yes, there are a lot of cheaper glutathione in the market today but nothing compares the quality and grade of Nuwhite. When it comes to supplements, I always tell my followers to invest in great quality products that will deliver real results than settling for cheap products that can barely do anything. That way, you can spend your money wisely and that's true savings. I highly recommend Nuwhite if you are looking for the best glutathione to try!

It is available in Watsons Stores nationwide, Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop

What I like about this glutathione is the milkish white effect it gives on my skin. As early as two weeks, I've noticed an obvious glow and I didn't experience acne breakout using Ishigaki Premium Plus. Ooopss did I mention that it's only P880? You can read my full review by "clicking here"

VitaPack MegaWhite Glutathione

Another budget friendly glutathione  (P950.00) at Watsons. It made me recover from sunburn faster. This glutathione gives a pinkish white effect which is perfect if you wanna achieve that "Tisay/Tisoy" looking skin. "Click here for the full review."

Ishigaki Amino Classic White Glutathione

I highly recommend taking the new Ishigaki Amino Classic White Glutathione. It's now FDA approved with better formulation and it really works. I am fair already yes, but it made me even fairer and I wasn't expecting that to be honest. This deserves to be included in our best glutathione in the Philippines. Yes the product is more expensive than before but I don't mind paying extra P200 for that better formulation. It's a way cheaper still compared to other glutathiones available in the market today. "Click here for the full review."

If you guys wanna see my skin color and condition after taking the Ishigaki Amino Classic White, please watch this short video that I made explaining my whole experience about the said product plus some pictures of my skin. I also made an Iodine Test to see if we have the authentic Ishigaki. Watch the video here:

Opulence Nutrawhite L-Glutathione + Boosters

I braved myself to take the product without the vitamin c. At first, I was doubting if the product will work with just 100mg of vitamin c which is already included in the capsule. But! I was wrong!  The product worked great! I've noticed that my tummy is behave when I'm taking Opulence Nutrawhite alone and people are complementing my skin for being glowing and fair. I received comments about my skin on the pictures that I've posted recently. "Click here for the full review".

Relumins Advanced Glutathione

I take each capsules two times a day\and again the capsules are big but I don't mind it at all. I never experienced any breakouts, sickness or other negative side effects. I feel good everyday,  it helps improve my mood and mental alertness, I knew it because before taking these, I easily get annoyed lol. Honestly speaking, I thought Relumins was just over advertised by EB BABES as  they are having flawless white skin and hey! I must admit I'm wrong. After Using Relumins for 3weeks my skin is noticeably glowing and having that flawless white skin. I super duper love how I look. Lots of people are complementing my skin, they say I have a kutis artista skin and I feel great hearing those! :) "Click here for the full review".

Feel free to watch my video on how to achieve fairer skin here:

I'd also like to specify that I'm taking vitamin c together with glutathione to boost the effect and absorption rate of the glutathione in our body. I used to take Rhea Ascorbic Acid (P130.00 per 100 tablets available in all Mercury Drugstores nationwide) If you have a SukiCard, it's still P130 hahaha. Currently using sodium ascorbate because I have GERD.

The above mentioned brands are the best glutathione that I've tried by far. I'm not sticking to one brand simply because I believe that other brands deserve a try so I can share my experience to you. Yes, I'm your guinea pig hahaha 😂. If you're going to ask me what's the best among the featured brands above, they're incomparable. All of them are the best for me because they worked amazingly. I've tried a lot of decent brands too, please click the links below for the full review:

PS: I have also published an article on how you can achieve fairer skin. Visit: http://www.vanityroomph.com/2016/06/5-ways-to-get-fairer-skin.html to know more!  :)

Not because the product is good for me, it will be good for you too or it would deliver the same result. As I'm always saying, "hiyangan" yan. Take my reviews as a guide not as a pattern. Do your research and try what's best for you.

I will keep this page updated if I found another glutathione that's worthy to be listed here. You can still message me on my Facebook page or DM me on Instagram if you have further questions and I'll try to answer as soon as I can. Thank you. 😊
