GMA Network regains nationwide TV ratings lead

GMA Network has retaken the lead in nationwide TV ratings, resulting from its stronger performance in all timeblocks, according to data from the industry’s trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

For the period September 1 to October 13 (with October 9 to 13 based on overnight data), GMA overtook its closest competitor in National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) with an average people audience share of 38.3 percent, besting ABS-CBN’s 37.6 percent.

GMA likewise remained the undisputed ratings leader in viewer-rich Urban Luzon, which accounts for 77 percent of all viewers in urban TV homes in the entire country, with 43.4 percent, ahead of ABS-CBN’s 32.3 percent.

In Mega Manila, another traditionally strong area for GMA representing 59 percent of urban viewers nationwide, the Network kept its total day ratings advantage with 46.1 percent versus ABS-CBN’s 28.2 percent.

During partial October (October 1 to 13), GMA particularly showed a stronger following on weekday evening primetime in NUTAM, where its people audience share reached 40 percent against ABS-CBN’s 37.3 percent.

Moreover, in comparison with ABS-CBN, more programs from GMA landed in the partial October list of 30 top-rating shows in Urban Luzon with a total of 18.

The well-loved Kapuso telefantasya Encantadia grabbed the number one spot in the Urban Luzon chart, while emerging as the highest-rating Kapuso program in National Urban Philippines.

The recently launched Kapuso primetime show Alyas Robin Hood, primetime newscast 24 Oras, award-winning comedy program Pepito Manaloto, multi-awarded news magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, weekly drama anthology Magpakailanman, and weekend primetime offering Hay Bahay! were also among the top 10 programs in Urban Luzon during the covered period.

Other top-rating Kapuso programs during the period include 24 Oras Weekend, Ismol Family, Sunday PinaSaya, Wowowin, Someone to Watch Over Me, Eat Bulaga, Imbestigador, Superstar Duets, #Like, Dear Uge, and Sa Piling ni Nanay per Nielsen data.

Nielsen data is gathered through a greater number of sampled homes nationwide in comparison with other ratings service providers. Nielsen has a nationwide sample size of 3,500 urban and rural homes.

As the leading ratings service provider, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement service boasts a total of 31 clients/subscribers including 8 local TV networks, 4 regional clients, 2 blocktimers, and 17 media agencies.

GMA subscribes to Nielsen along with TV5 and Aksyon TV, CNN Philippines, Net 25, Ebiquity-Faulkner CBN Asia and TAPE Inc., and major advertising and media agencies such as Dentsu Aegis Network (Carat, Mediaforce Vizeum, Dentsu), GroupM (Mediacom, Mindshare, MEC and Maxus), Omnicom Media Group (OMD, PHD and M2M), Zenith Optimedia, and Starcom Mediavest. Solar Entertainment Corporation Stays on Top of its Game

Solar Entertainment Corporation remains to be the largest content provider and channel operator in Southeast Asia. The network is comprised of seven (7) channels—ETC, 2nd Avenue, Jack TV, CT, Solar Sports, Basketball TV, and NBA Premium. The viewers are in for a treat when they tune in to Solar Entertainment’s roster of channels on Sunday, October 16, as the first integrated rebranding execution of the channels will be revealed.

In hindsight, it was an effort done separately by the stations. Solar Entertainment Corporation President and CEO Wilson Tieng says, “[This year], we are doing the change of the broadcast design simultaneously for higher impact and to bring more excitement for the channels and its viewers. Through this venture, we aim to boost viewership and market share by giving a fresh take on our channels and topnotch content tied with the new look.”

While the technology of content delivery to the market is evolving, the TV network continues to grow and keep up with the changing landscape. “Solar has kept its fingers on the pulse of media-savvy Filipino audiences,” says Tieng. “We pay attention to emerging viewing habits while at the same time, setting the trend and changing mindsets.”

With the emergence of digital media, Solar stays on top of its game as the pioneer in providing Filipino audiences the access to international shows, sporting events, films, and eventually online content. Tieng confirms, “We have to open all the avenues for marketing and revenue. It creates the challenge of gaining traction with your audience, especially the millennials, and support from advertisers. There are more exciting announcements for this last stretch of the year and onto 2017, specifically for the channel content and digital assets of Solar. We are definitely going for more.”

Don’t miss the channel flip of ETC, 2nd Avenue, Solar Sports, and Basketball TV happening on October 16 at 8 PM.

ETC is on UHF channel 21, Sky Cable channel 16, Destiny Digital channel 16, Global Destiny channel 28, Cignal channel 9, or Cablelink channel 34.

2nd Avenue is seen on UHF Free TV Ch. 29, SkyCable Ch. 19, Global Destiny Cable Ch. 29, Cablelink Ch. 35, and Cignal Ch. 28.

Solar Sports is on SkyCable Ch.70, Destiny Ch.35, and Cablelink Ch.58 and Basketball TV is available on SkyCable Ch. 33, Cignal Ch. 35, and Global Destiny Ch. 34.

I am receiving follow ups on my Facebook from you guys if I already posted a review of this. Finally! I've finished 1 bottle (60 capsules) and I am now ready to give you my feedback about it.

Vitamin E 100IU- recycles Glutathione and depend on it for proper function and recycling as well.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) 50mg- neutralizes several toxins including heavy metals lead and cadmium. It acts as a co-enzyme for recycling other antioxidants including Glutathione, Vitamin C and E.

Selenomethionine 200mcg- an important trace mineral and constituent of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which is necessary for neutralizing the free radical, hydrogen peroxide, as well as as other lipid peroxides (oxidized fats).

The Opulence Nutrawhite is a neophyte glutathione product here in the Philippines and I love that fact because I'll be one of the firsts to review it. When one of their representatives offered me their products for review, I've made my research first because I never heard the brand before. I've found out that they're a startup and super legit business in the beauty industry here in the Philippines. Yes they sent me the products for free for review purposes. I just want a full disclosure and I always tell you if the review is sponsored or not. Regardless, you know how I love giving honest and unbiased feedback in every products that I'm reviewing because that's what you deserve.

The first thing that I love about this glutathione capsule is that it doesn't have that strong rotten egg smell. Though, it smells like a mild sulfur but it's not bothering at all. I also like its packaging, it comes in a regular white bottle printed with the everything you need to know about the product. Did I mention that it's FDA approved and made in USA?

On my first few days, I was taking Opulence Nutrawhite together with 500mg Poten Cee 30 minutes before breakfast. I tried that routine for better absorption but it makes my acid reflux worse so I changed my routine to 30 minutes after breakfast and 30 minutes after dinner. All went smooth but I still felt mild acidity going on my tummy. One capsule of Opulence Nutrawhite contains 50mg of ALA which can trigger acidity and so do my vitamin c.

I braved myself to take the product without the vitamin c. At first, I was doubting if the product will work with just 100mg of vitamin c which is already included in the capsule. But! I was wrong! The product worked great! I've noticed that my tummy is behave when I'm taking Opulence Nutrawhite alone and people are complementing my skin for being glowing and fair. I received comments about my skin on the pictures that I've posted recently. Look:

My former office mates also noticed my fair skin when we reunited. They said that I am fairer compared before when I was in the office and my skin looks healthy (I was so kilig to the max haha). I've told them that I'm using Opulence and two of them ordered the next day. I've asked them if I can mention their names here but they don't want haha tlaga ba hah J**** and S****a? Hahaha they're really shy lol.

Aside from acidity while taking it with vitamin c, I didn't notice any side effects like heartburn, headaches, burning throat, pimple breakout, and diarrhea. As in non at all that's why I love it. In fact, I asked my doctor when I was rushed in the hospital because of food poisoning if I can can take my gluta caps the next morning and he said yes haha.

What I like:

• Effective (True to its claim)

• Affordable

• No need for separate vitamin c

• FDA approved

• Packaging

• No side effects

• Loaded with gluta booster ingredients

• Locally available

• No strong smell

What I don't like:

• It makes me acidic when taking it with separate vitamin c.

• There are some cotton strands in the capsule from the cotton included in the bottle to absorb the moisture haha. I sometimes remove some cotton strands but not all the capsules have it.

All in all, I highly recommend Opulence Nutrawhite Glutathione to you guys if you're looking for an effective glutathione pills. It's FDA approved and true to its claims. If you're not acidic, you may take it 30 minutes before meal to maximize the absorption. It will also save us some money because there's no need to buy for a separate vitamin c because the 100mg included in one capsule of Opulence Nutrawhite is more than enough. I super love it guys honestly, I am giving you my word. I think it will also work taking it one capsule a day if you just want to maintain a fair looking skin.

It's like I'm taking Snow Caps Glutathione and Ishigaki Premium because Opulence Nutrawhite works too. What's more surprising is that, it's effective even without taking a separate vitamin c. (I keep on insisting that guys. Sorry haha I just can't believe that it works. It's simply amazing). Try it for yourself guys and I can't wait to add this to our "What's the best glutathione in the Philippines" blog post.

Remember that what's effective for me may not be effective for you. We have different skin types and health conditions so take my review as a guide not as a pattern. Take it with a pinch of salt. Thank you.
