I know that you are all excited to know my thoughts about the Pervil Magic Skincare Solution by Dra. Ivy Acne Kit because I have been raving about this product this past few weeks on my social media channels and I promised to give you my full review about it so here it is!

I already featured some Pervil products few years ago. You may read my review of their Magic Cream, lotion and soap here. Just like what I have said, I can't help but to talk how this product works on my gadgadgaran I mean face hahaha. For full disclosure guys, this review is not sponsored by Pervil ok?

I was in the province "Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija" where Pervil Magic started and my original plan is to buy another set of Pervil Magic lotions and soaps because my skin wanted to experience them again. As I was looking at the set of products, the ACNE KIT caught my attention because it's the only set in green color. Everything's in a yellow or orange shade. So I was intrigued by it and bought the product with the hope that it will satisfy me as much as their Magic Cream, lotion and soap did. I even shared the picture of the product after my purchase on our #VanityFriends private group. As you can see, I have zits on my forehead and some acne on my jaw area and cheeks. In short, I am breaking out huhu. I started using the product few days after the purchase date and saw an amazing improvement after 3 days. Literally it was able to flattened my zits and tiny bumps plus the pimples are healing (drying) really quick. Here's the current state of my face now after finishing just one set:

I can say that everything in the set is my favorite. I love the smell of their toner and the cooling effect it gives not to mention that it is so moisturizing as well. The soap is a cold processed one so my skin is absorbing most of the active ingredients it contains. The Acne Solution Gel also has its cooling effect and the best thing about this product is when I applied the gel on my acne, I can feel that the product is working because my acne is feeling cool and a little itchy and I love that feeling hahaha. Also, a pump can treat 10 to 15 zits on your face, literally a little goes a long way. I also like the consistency and lightness of their sunblock plus the smell is so mild.

My Routine:

(Morning and night)
Wash my face with Glutathione soap -> Acne Solution Toner -> Acne Gel -> Sunblock (once the gel dried up)



I literally skip using moisturizer because the toner itself as I have said is so moisturizing. I'll just apply my preferred moisturizer if I am going to put on makeup because it's a must to create a perfect canvas. :)

There are just few things to consider, hmmm it will not hinder me from buying the product though. The Acne Gel smells like a medicine and I hate to smell one (it smells like liquid Robitosin). The packaging is not so appealing for me too. Though, all of the products (except from the soap) comes with a pump which is so convenient and hygienic so the not-so-appealing packaging has been compensated. It's not really the packaging (bottles), maybe the sticker and bag are the ones that don't appeal me much? What do you think?

Ohhh I also wish it is available in all Mercury drugstores and Watsons nationwide but don't worry because Pervil has a lot of provincial distributors around the country and abroad so ordering is not a problem.


All in all, I highly recommend using Pervil Magic Acne Kit because it simply works and it's so affordable as well. Using the product is so easy and it dries up pimple overnight. Mind you guys, it is really effective and working like a magic. Now that my acne is clearing, I will be using the Pervil Magic Rejuvenating Set next and I'll keep you guys updated for sure.

Wet N Wild Coverall Foundation Review

I promised to review the Wet N Wild Coverall Foundation for you guys on my last BeautyMNL haul, you'll see there that I picked the said foundation because it has great reviews. I've been using this product for a week now and here are my thoughts about it.

It's "Oven time" I mean summer hahaha so it's perfeect to review a foundation. Not only we can test its longevity, we can also see if it looks great under the sun. By the way, this is not sponsored by Wet N Wild hah. :)

I like its squeezable tube packaging because it's hygienic and easy to carry around "handy". I also like the fact that everything you need to know about the product is printed on the tube. That's something a meticulous buyer would look first.

In terms of longevity, I must say that the product still looks good after more than 7 hours with very minimal touch-up. I wore the product the whole day and I walked under the sun, around the market and mall. I only blot once to collect some sweats and very few oils on my face. After that, the product and my face still look like a couple. :)

It has a medium to full coverage which is perfect for my not-so-perfect face hahaha. I also like its consistency because it's not too liquid-y nor too thick. It is just right for my liking. The product is so easy to blend using my damp beauty blender and it didn't cake on my face.

What I don't like about this product is the smell, I don't know but for me it smells like a burning plastic "You know, like your old friend lol." just kidding hahaha. Seriously smells like plastic or mild chemicals and I hope they can do something about it. I also don't like the mouth of its tube because it looks really messy. I wish they can put a stopper for that. Look:


In addition, I hate the feeling of heaviness on the first few minutes after applying this product. It feels thick and sticky but it disappears after 5 minutes or so. I also wish they can release more shades here in the Philippines.



All in all, the Wet N Wild Coverall Foundation is an amazing base considering that it's a drugstore makeup. One proof that not because it's affordable, it's low quality. NO! This foundation is really great and I highly recommend it. It's affordable and good for oily to combination skin types.

DIY Instant Skin Bleaching Using Agua Oxinada?

I wanna start this blog post by saying that I am not an expert so all of the statements you are about to read were based on my own opinion. It's always your discretion if you're going to follow it or not.

Alright! Few weeks ago, I received two messages from two different people asking if I know the formula for that DIY Bleaching kemerut! The first person even asked me if I'm a user of that. Alright guys, to be honest, I am also curious about it because I haven't tried it yet.

I made my research about it and I decided not to do it or create my own formula. I also don't recommend you guys doing it. There are several reasons why so let me share you some.


1. You're not an expert a.k.a chemist or dermatologist to formulate your own skin whitening chorvalu haha. If you're like me who's an ordinary person without enough knowledge about chemicals specially when mixed together. Hala na! Guys we are not aware of the chemical reaction when mixed with other chemicals or ingredients.

2. Too much exposure to Hydrogen Peroxide or Agua Oxinda can harm our skin, eyes, nose and lungs.

3. There were cases of skin irritation because of doing their own skin bleaching formula.

4. The instant whitening it gives is temporary. What's happening is Capillary embolism. It prevents blood from flowing to the capillaries at the affected area for some time and that is why your skin will appear light or fair. After awhile, our capillaries will go back to normal and so do our skin color.



Those are just some of the many important  reasons why you shouldn't take the risk to create your own skin bleaching formula with Agua Oxinada.

How to Quit Smoking? My Journey to A Smoke-free Life Part 2

Hello my #VanityFriends. It's Lenten season and I thought it's the perfect time to share you my life far from cigarette. Let's have a break from beauty reviews and our usual agendas. Today let me share you a story, yes, just like Eat Bulaga and Showtime, we also have a Lenten special for you and it's based on the true story of my Smoke-free life.


If you haven't read the part 1 of this story yet, you can check it out by clicking here. In the first part of this Telenovela haha, you saw that I suffered from depression and anxiety. I shared the first 18 days of my smoke-free life in the part 1 of this story and let me share you now the rest of what happened.
I was rushed in the hospital because of GERD and too much anxiety. :(
During the first 3 months, I was still craving for cigarettes specially when someone's smoking near me. You know that feeling of too much cravings to the point that your mouth is watering? Parang ginigiyang ba bes haha. I thought I succeeded this craving stage during the first 18 days but no I was wrong. During that 18 days, the nicotine withdrawal effect was not yet totally manifesting. The real struggle began after a month.



After few months of my no more cigarette life, my depression and anxiety were getting worst. There were times that I am so afraid to go out and socialize. There were also days that I was worrying too much about tomorrow thinking what's waiting for me.You know the feeling of being worthless? That's what I thought. Since cigarette is a mood enhancer, I also experienced a lot of mood swings and bad days. It came to the point that even Yoga and meditation were no longer working to calm myself down. I was crying each day thinking of sacrificing my health and go back to nicotine just to make me feel good again. 

My partner was almost quitting on me because my behavior surprised my partner too much. I was almost thinking of ending my life but I thank God for giving me my partner who never gave up on me, my friends and family who cheered me up. This month is the 8th month of my smoke-free life and I can say that I am better now! No more cravings at all, I am no longer in favor of its bad smelling smoke, no more mornings full of phlegm, no more bad breath, no more unfavorable sweats and most of all, I can confidently breath now and my stamina is getting back to normal.

You can see an improvement on my skin and overall appearance. Yeah I look healthier and happier now. 😊

So what's my secret in quitting cigarette or nicotine? There's only one thing that you must have to totally quit. Courage! Yes! It only takes courage to quit smoking. It may sound so simple but it is not. In fact, it is so hard but when you have the path and the courage to quit, you can make it. Just believe in yourself and think of all the negative things smoking can bring you. I remember a friend who told me that smoking wasn't bad because he knew a neighbor who's smoking since high school and now a senior citizen, still alive and continuously smoking. I made him realized that his one neighbor is nothing compared to millions of deaths recorded because of smoking.


It is never too late to quit! The sooner you plan the better. Take action and have courage! Don't let nicotine control your mind and eat your life. You are the master of yourself! Embrace and own it! The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now! 😊 ❤

I use this product once, twice or thrice a week and I'll explain why. On the normal days, I use Vitapack twice a week but when I have an event to attend to, I use VitaPack Facial Mask to prep my skin.

It's the only mask that gives my skin a nice dewy finish that turns into matte when fully absorbed by our skin so it's perfect for all skin types. My makeup stays longer when I prep my skin with this amazing mask.

I am just not so impressed with its packaging. I mean there's nothing wrong about it it's just that I see a lot of quirky and cute korean facial masks that why haha. On the lighter note, its packaging contains all the things you need to know about the product. It's very detailed so the not-so-appealing packaging will not hinder you from buying the product. Another thing that I noticed is the sheet. It's kinda shorter than normal ones. However, it's overloaded with serum. The serum inside is generously packaged so I use the excess to moisturize my arms and legs.



As per whitening, I noticed a more radiant skin specially when I'm not wearing makeup. I noticed that the redness on my face were lessened not to mention the overall condition of my face. Though it has a matte effect on my skin, it's also hydrating so it's perfect too if you have a dry skin. Did I say that it also has a cooling effect? Yes! It's perfect this summer season! :)


For me this is the best whitening and anti aging facial mask in the Philippines and I highly recommend it. You know how sincere I am when recommending you a product. When I say it's the best, I mean it's really the BEST!
