Lactezin Anti-Acne Pill Review

by 2:53 PM
Waking up with another pimple popping on a certain spot on your face is really horrible. I know the feeling and I understand how it can ruin the entire day. An overnight pimple remedy sounds really impossible right? But you know what? I'm gonna share you something!

What?
Lactezin Anti-Acne Pill

Lactezin is a clinically-tested drug, which uses a natural antibacterial active ingredient, Lactoferrin, combined with Vitamin E and Zinc to reduce skin oiliness and comedones (acne/whiteheads/blackheads) which may help deliver better complexion.

Lactezin® contains three powerful pimple-fighting and skin health-boosting ingredients:

Lactoferrin has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It enhances the body’s natural defenses to help fight pimple-causing bacteria, reduce sebum and inflammation and helps repair damaged skin cells.

Vitamin E helps maintain healthy skin cells by fighting free radical damage.

Zinc helps maintain a healthy immune system and promotes wound healing and repair of damaged skin tissues. Its antioxidant and oil-regulating properties also help improve skin appearance.

It is an ingestive in a capsule format, which is to be taken twice daily to help experience the full benefit of skin clearing and overall smoothness.

Where to buy?
Mercury Drugstore

How much?
P20 per capsule

First off, this post is not sponsored by Lactezin, I bought the product from my own pocket and I wasn't paid to create this post and video. So yeah! I tried the product for straight 10 days and I saw significant change on my acne. It actually heals my pimple overnight. This will be my go-to solution whenever I have cystic acne or pimple that I want to heal faster. I've created a video review about Lactezin which you can watch here:

The product is only P20 per capsule so it's really affordable. Try and see it for yourself. Also, don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos about skincare. Visit: www.YouTube.com/c/VanityRoomPH

Myra E 400 IU Capsule plus Vitamin C for Fairer and Glowing Skin?

by 2:39 PM
Myra E is a well-known Vitamin E supplement here in the Philippines. They say that this small softgel can also make our skin fairer when paired with Vitamin C. I have been hearing the rumor way back 2012 when I was working in a BPO. My workmates were requesting Myra E and Vitamin C on our company pharmacy (it's free because it's covered by our healthcard) every month and they said this combination can help whiten skin. Is it true?

What?
Myra E + Vitamin C for Fairer and Glowing Skin?

dl-Alpha Tocopherol (Myra 400-E) is made out of natural Vitamin E from soybean oil  which is a powerful antioxidant that helps remove harmful free radicals and promote cell and tissue renewal of the skin, lungs, muscles, and liver. It is also used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin E deficiency.

Vitamin C helps to repair and regenerate tissues, protect against heart disease, aid in the absorption of iron, prevent scurvy, and decrease total and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides.

Where to buy?
Mercury Drugstore

I have been receiving a lot of requests from you guys to try this combo as well so I have finally tried it. I documented my experience on a short video which you can watch here:

Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos like this.

Disclaimer: this video and post is not sponsored by Myra E. I bought the product from my own pocket and I didn't receive any form of compensation from the brands mentioned.

The Yuletide season kicked off the Festival of Lights at Ayala Triangle Gardens

by 4:16 PM

Ayala Triangle Gardens lights up the holidays with its Festival of Lights! Don’t miss out on the world reknowned lights and sounds show only in the city that makes it happen-- Makati. Show will run daily from 6PM to 10PM, every 30 minutes, until the 7th of January.

It’s officially Christmas in Makati! A dazzling lights and sound show at the heart of the country’s business district heralds the beginning of the Christmas season this year, promising Filipinos another unforgettable holiday season.

From November 9 until January 7, the Ayala Triangle Gardens will again observe a much- loved and highly anticipated Christmas tradition when it brings the Festival of Lights, its signature lights and sound show, which has captivated thousands of Filipinos for the past
eight years.

As darkness blankets the city, millions of twinkling lights will come alive across the gardens as the melodious strains of Christmas songs fill the air. In dramatic fashion, the lights begin dancing in sync with the music, creating a captivating magical spectacle. As the lights flash and change colors to the beat of the music, the revelry and joy of Christmas will surely be felt by everyone.

The light show is expertly choreographed by award-winning director Voltaire de Jesus and Luther Gumia. More than 1.6 million LED lights were used for the light show, adding brilliance while staying environmentally sustainable. Musical scoring for the three medleys were beautifully arranged by acclaimed musicians and composers.

The musical medleys have three distinct themes – Pinoy Fiesta by Roy del Valle, Traditional Christmas by Von de Guzman, and Techno by Tris Sunguitan. One medley will be staged every 30 minutes nightly. Each one boasts of a different mood, pace, and rhythm, while retaining the Christmas cheer that brings people together and envelopes everyone in the spirit of the season.

“We want Christmas to be magical for everyone, which is why we have continued with this beautiful Christmas tradition that brings people together and lets them feel the joys of the season,” said Shiella Aguilar, Ayala Land Project Development Head for Makati. This year’s lights and sound show is presented by Ayala Land, in partnership with   MasterCard, HSBC and SunLife Financial.

Makati’s Filipino Christmas wonderland extends beyond the Ayala Triangle Gardens. Across the city, major Makati thoroughfares Ayala Avenue, Paseo de Roxas, and Makati Avenue are decked in over a million Christmas lights done in the patterns of native woven fabrics such as Inabel and Burdado of Luzon, Banig Tikog of Visayas and  T’Boli, Ukil and Yakan of Mindanao. Gigantic Christmas ornaments lit up in the same native patterns can be found on concrete islands, bringing the holiday cheer even closer to people who roam the city’s streets.

There will also be several activities at Circuit Makati such as the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on November 17 and the Pop-Up Town Bazaar on November 17-19. For added holiday cheer, Ayala Land is also bringing the lights and sound show to its various estates across the country. It will be held at Vertis North, Nuvali, Bonifacio Global City, Centrio, and Ayala Center Cebu—spreading the sights and sounds of Christmas to more people.

The majestic Festival of Lights has made it to the coveted list of Conde Nast Traveler’s Most Spectacular Lights in the World, in the company of distinguished luminaries such as the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, the holiday lights display at the legendary Champs-Elysees in Paris and Japan’s Kobe Luminarie.

Indeed, Christmas is the happiest time of the year, and Ayala Land promises to deliver a memorable and unforgettable Christmas celebration to thousands of Filipinos from all walks of life with its signature tradition.

Bring magic to your Christmas celebration with the Festival of Lights at the Ayala Triangle Gardens! The show will run daily until the 7th of January 2018, every half hour from 6PM to 10PM.

A Call for Responsible Blogging

by 11:14 AM
Three years ago, this humble blog started to showcase not only my knowledge about beauty products but also my lifestyle as a simple "Promdi" working in the busy city of Manila. I never thought that my passion in sharing my reviews and thoughts about different skincare products will also make my life an open book. Sharing your life to other people isn't an easy task, in fact, people can use it to hurt you and know your weaknesses. However, it didn't hinder me because my passion to talk and to share prevailed.

After all the hard works and challenges which I can describe as a roller coaster ride, here I am now, still doing what I love (blogging) and enjoying it. Well, there are challenges still but my experiences made me stronger. I cannot afford to surrender and bring my half a million (unique and returning visitors) every month down.

Bragging aside, for the last four months, we are receiving half a million monthly traffic consistently. It's not some sort of digits to brag, for me, it's just a reminder that I'm doing the right thing and I feel so blessed that God has given me the talent of being talkative haha.

With that huge number of visitors monthly, it's really important for me to be responsible and credible enough in every article that I'm writing. One piece of advice from my favorite beauty blogger (kikaysikat) that I'm still holding up until today is to write from your heart. It has been my foundation and reminder whenever I'm losing track and in times of confusion. Thank you so much momshie (The Macho Mom or Kikaysikat) for inspiring me. I'll be forever grateful. ❤️

Now, I have been receiving a lot of emails and messages too from random aspiring bloggers asking for advice. Well, I guess it's the perfect time for me to elaborate more and share you what I've learned in this industry.

It may sound cliche but I can confidently say that being yourself is thel best weapon you wanna have once you hit the keyboard and start sharing your life and adventures online. It has been my nicotine since I started blogging full time. Sounds easy right? But along the way, you'll surely lose track, you'll receive offers to post some fake news, some brands will approach you to promote their products and instruct you to tell people that it's effective even if you haven't tried their products yet, and more tempting offers that will make you forget the very reason why you're blogging so it is important to remain being yourself. Those offers are damn good because hello! Who doesn't want money right? But to be honest, I have never entertained a single offer like that. Yes, it's tempting but I can proudly say that my principles and passion in blogging makes me richer than accepting those pretentious offers.

You might be wondering why am I sharing these things to you? Well, in this world full of fake news and false advertisements, I am encouraging aspiring bloggers, my fellow bloggers, and social media influencers to remain truthful and honest in every posts we're making. Let the flame in our hearts be our guide towards responsible blogging. ❤️

Iconic Local Weaves Light Up Ayala Avenue

by 4:26 PM

Iconic local weaves shine bright in the city that makes it happen. The leaders of Ayala Land Corporation and  Makati City spread the holiday cheer, showing off their smiles with the stunning street lights display inspired by iconic weaves from various regions -- Inabel and Burdado from Luzon, Banig Tikog from Visayas, T’Boli, Ukil and Yakan weaves from Mindanao. (L-R) Ishmael G. Cruz, Board of Governers of MaCEA; Patricia Zobel de Ayala; Jaime Zobel De Ayala, Chairman Emeritus of Ayala Corp; Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo; Ms. Jhie Greenwood, Trade Marketing Manager, Firefly Lighting; Meean Dy, Group Head, Strategic Landbank Management; Bobby Dy, President and CEO of Ayala Land Inc.

Inspired by the beautiful native hand woven fabrics from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, Makati City welcomed the Yuletide season with a traditional street lighting ceremony – an annual tradition that transforms the premier business district into a Filipino Christmas haven.

Paying tribute to the cultural heritage of the Philippines, Christmas symbols with intricate Filipino patterns from various regions -- Inabel and Burdado from Luzon, Banig Tikog from Visayas, T’Boli, Ukil and Yakan weaves from Mindanao -- will illuminate the streets of the central business district, creating a festive and harmonious atmosphere.

These patterns are applied to gigantic representations of Christmas symbols, transforming the streets of the city into truly Filipino Christmas landmarks. As the lights come alive, Makati’s wonderful streetlight decors will once again wrap everyone in the magical spirit of the season.

The whole stretch of Ayala Avenue, Paseo de Roxas, and Makati Avenue will be adorned with colorful lights that bring to life the spirit of Christmas. This is the largest display of Christmas lights in the city and a well-loved Makati tradition that has brought the community together. This year’s bright and energy efficient lights are courtesy of Firefly Lighting Corporation.

Makati’s Christmas street lights continue to brighten up Christmas celebrations every year for everyone—from the thousands who work in the city to those who call the city home, as well as those who visit its various business, lifestyle, entertainment and cultural destinations.

“Christmas is the highlight of the year for Filipinos, and we always want to make it special for everyone. By mounting an exquisite Christmas display, and through the Festival of Lights, we provide venues for people to enjoy the spirit of the season,” said Shiella Aguilar, Ayala Land Project Development Head for Makati.
