Garnier Vitamin C Serum Review

I received a lot of requests to review this new product of 

First of all, I like idea of putting the vit c serum in a plastic foil like this because it protects the vitamin c from oxidizing. Although, they also have one in a glass bottle dropper.

I am truly amazed by its key ingredients. They mixed Niacinamide with Vitamin C. Although there was an old study that Niacinamide can't be mixed with Vit c, there's no clear evidence proving that. The truth of the matter is mixing Vit c and Niacinamide can be beneficial for our skin.

When I first tried the product (patch test), I experienced redness and itchiness. I knew from the start that it's sensitizing because of the ingredients. I still gave it a try tho because there were some products that I tried before containing fragrances and didn't cause irritation on my skin. But yeah, this one is highly sensitizing I must say because of its other actives.

It contains parfum, lemon oil extract, benzyl salicylate (fragrance), citrus oil, and alcohols. Those are extremely sensitizing even if you don't have sensitive skin. Most specifically lemon oil and citrus oil. Oh no! 😱

I am honestly disappointed with this product and I don't recommend it.

My experience

Honestly, I am not new to oral acne supplement. However, what makes this product special is the added ingredients. It contains essential vitamins that makes us healthy. The first thing that I noticed about this product is, it's making me sleepy early at night. I would usually go to bed by 2AM flipping side to side, finding the best position to feel sleepy. When I started taking this product, I noticed that I 'm dozing off at around 11PM. Woah! That's way too early for me lol! The good thing is, I am not having a hard time to fall asleep.




When it comes to its main purpose (reducing acne breakout), I can say that this product is really working. And I am honestly not surprised. There were clinical studies conducted proving that its ingredients are beneficial to those people with acne-prone skin.

Although I don't get as much acne as before, I noticed that my pimple heals faster than ever when I started taking this supplement. It also prevents future breakouts because I rarely get pimples from the time I took this product. Amazing! The best part? Since I have oily combination skin, I noticed that I get less oily especially on my T-Zone. Although, I can still see oil it's still peeking through, but it's not as shiny as it used to be! Good job!


I don't know but I also think this supplement gives me glow that I usually get when I'm taking glutathione or collagen supplement. Maybe because it contains Vitamin E (which is known to its repairing properties) and Vitamin C that can boost our immune system as well as glutathione production in our system. The Relumins Oral Acne Treatment is indeed a beauty supplement in my personal opinion!

All in all, I think it's a nice product to try if you are suffering from acne breakout. It's safe, FDA approved, and contains a lot of beneficial ingredients.
